The world can now be controlled by a device that fits into the palm of one’s hand - the smart phone. With the launch of the revolutionary Smart Access (ACF100) in December 2012, the whole concept of access control via a smart phone related device has changed. The ACF100 has enjoyed much attention at the seven security shows it appeared at in 2012 and the first production run is expected to create a strong demand for the product.
Smart Access (ACF100) is different to any other access control device on the market as it has neither a keypad nor an LCD. The product also has a standalone WiFi access point (Direct WiFi), allows one to use the smart phone to add or delete a user, has log monitoring and allows one to send the log from the smart phone. Smart Access is equipped with1.3 megapixel camera to record pictures of every event for verification. This is ideal not only for real-time monitoring pictures but it also logs and saves pictures in an excel format to enable emails to be readily sent.
The firmware upgrade on Smart Access allows users to operate their Time & Attendance (T&A) function directly from the smart phone, allowing complete independence from a PC. Both Android, and iPhone applications are available for users.
One of the major advantages of the ACF100, when compared to other devices, is the hassle free installation and associated cost savings. There is no need for network cabling and the IP65 weatherproof design allows for outdoor installation.
ADD USER
With other devices, to save a user’s fingerprints or cards, an LCD display, Keypad or PC with USB scanner, was mandatory.
Smart Access does not require anything other than a smart phone. Using i-Unis, one simply saves the fingerprint or card information directly in the smart phone. With its easy design concept, users will know intuitively what they need to do.
LOG & PICTURE
With Smart Acess' internal digital camera, the times of any event verification will be saved with the picture and its log data in real time. This data can be monitored in real time through the smart phone application (i-Unis) or through UNIS. A face detection feature will be added in future. so when a person tries to open a door with a smart phone it will recognise the image and open the door with log data.
SEND LOG BY EMAIL
Log data, such as the captured image, time and date (Excel.csv), can be sent by email from the smart phone's application - i-Unis.
UPGRADING D/B & F/W
In general, firmware can usually be uploaded only through a PC. With the ACF100, firmware can be downloaded to a smart phone by internet connection and upgraded through WiFi direct connection between the ACF100 and the smart phone

REMOTE DDNS
DDNS or Dynamic DNS is a method of updating, in real time, a Domain Name System (DNS) to point to a changing IP address on the internet. This is used to provide a persistent domain name for a resource that may change location on the network. ACF100 supports this feature and allows easy access from a smart phone anywhere, wherever the internet is connected
